Delete Your Data
Servy is committed to your privacy. If you'd like to delete your account and the personal data associated with it, this page explains what we hold and how to request its removal.
What Data Does Servy Hold?
Depending on whether you use the Servy Customer app or the Servy Provider app, we may hold the following information:
- Account information: Name, email address, phone number, profile picture, and login credentials
- Service history: Booking records, job history, ratings, and reviews
- Payment information: Payment and payout records processed through Stripe (Servy does not store your card or bank account details directly)
- Location data: Addresses and location information used to match customers with nearby providers
- Communications: Messages exchanged between customers and providers through the platform
How to Request Data Deletion
To request deletion of your account and associated data, follow these steps:
- Send an email to support@servy.co.nz
- Use the subject line: "Data Deletion Request"
- Include the email address associated with your Servy account and specify whether you use the Customer app, the Provider app, or both
We will verify your identity and process your request within 30 days. You will receive a confirmation email once deletion is complete.
Data Retention
Upon receiving your deletion request, we will remove your personal data from our active systems. However, please note:
Some data may be retained where required by law.
- Financial transaction records may be retained for up to 7 years to comply with New Zealand tax and financial reporting obligations
- Records related to disputes or legal proceedings may be retained until the matter is resolved
- Aggregated, anonymised data that cannot identify you may be retained indefinitely
