    Every provider has an ID and background check, which usually takes a few days. Your public liability insurance needs to be in place before your first job.

We're new, so we'll be straight with you

Servy's apps launched in Auckland in September 2026, and customer bookings are still building. That's why we talk to every pro before they go live: we'd rather tell you honestly what demand looks like in your area than leave you waiting on a quiet app.

Joining early has an upside. You start building ratings while the list of pros is short, and pros who respond quickly and rate well are shown more prominently to customers.

What you'll need

  • To be based in Auckland. Servy covers Auckland only for now.
  • An iPhone or Android phone for the Servy Mates app.
  • An NZ bank account for your Stripe payouts.
  • Public liability insurance before your first job. You can apply and set up while you arrange it.
  • An ID and background check. We'll guide you through it.

Common questions

Does it cost anything to join?
No. There's no sign-up fee and no subscription. Servy takes 5% of each customer payment, and you keep the other 95% plus every tip.
Do I quote for jobs?
No. Customers see a fixed price before they book, and Servy sets the pricing structure, so there's no quoting or bidding against other pros. You see the price before you accept a job.
When do I get paid?
After a job is marked complete, Stripe pays it into your bank account, usually within 2 to 5 business days.
What if a customer cancels at the last minute?
Cancelling more than 24 hours ahead is free for the customer. Inside 24 hours, or if they aren't there when you arrive, they're charged one hour of your rate and part of it is passed on to you.
